Selected Awards and Honors
- California Distinguished School, as Principal
- One of six national awards from the National Council of Cities, the National Council
of Mayors, National Council of Governors, and National School Boards Association
for collaboration and support, integrating the work of the school with parents and
the greater community
- National first runner-up for the Holmes Partnership, Nancy Zimpher Award for Best
Partnership, awarded for leadership in education reform by a collaborative
program. The Holmes Partnership is a network of universities, schools, and
national professional organizations working together to create high quality
professional development.
- PTA awards include: Very Special Person, Honorary Service, and Continuing Service
- I have also earned over $3 million in grants for my schools
